Humans, we think it might be time for a crash course on how to keep your GoPro cameras safe from the paws, tentacles and claws of thieving wildlife.

The latest cautionary tale comes our way from the Cíes Islands off the Spanish coast, where two tourists let their camera get scooped up and carried away by a seagull.

At least YouTuber Martin Lozano, who uploaded the video earlier this week, got a bird's-eye-view souvenir of the local sights as compensation. And a seagull selfie or two.   

We might add that he had also clearly forgotten what every seagull's favourite word is.
