No charges for fishermen who 'surfed' on a whale shark
It looks as if the fishermen who "hopped aboard" this passing whale shark will not face any charges.
7 years agoThe team at SeaDoors Diving in the Philippines has successfully rescued a whale shark they found tangled in a discarded fishing net. Now dubbed "P-826" by our friends at Whaleshark.org, the young shark stayed with the divers for an hour after the ordeal. Hopefully it will be able to feed and move freely for the rest of its long life. Discarded fishing gear like this is responsible for thousands of marine deaths every year, including this most recent megamouth!
