This diver was happily going about his business (and doing some great reef-saving work) by culling invasive lionfish in the western Caribbean Sea ... until a shark decided it wanted a share of the spoils. Taking Jason Dimitri by surprise, the Caribbean reef shark was probably attracted by the dead fish the diver had already added to his basket. It made several attempts to get a closer look (er, bite?) at the diver ... after all, a tentative nibble is the simplest way for a shark to decide if it's found something worth eating. The entire confrontation was captured by Dimitri's GoPro camera. (For those of you who require instant gratification, the action starts at around 0:40).
