6 years agoScientists at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) are working to describe a new species of deep-sea octopus – and it looks just like "Pearl"! There's a reason the little octopod resembles its Finding Nemo counterpart: they're both from the same genus (Opisthoteuthis). The pink creature might also look like the viral and ever-adorable Dumbo octopus, but that "big-eared” cephalopod has a genus all of its own.
