From glowing scorpions to twisted morays, the winning images and finalists in the Nature Photography Contest 2023 offer a glimpse into the delicate beauty of the natural world. A new addition to the photography competition roster, the contest invited its first entries last year and has already drawn a diverse guild of professionals and amateurs eager to showcase their talents.

The contest strives to not only offer a platform for nature photographers to share their work, but also to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect our planet. For each entry, the contest organisers will plant a tree in a country to be determined by the overall winner.
