Squirrels … they'll do anything to make the news. When they're not getting frisky with a GoPro, they're running around on the speedway in the middle of a stock car race. In this short clip filmed at the Oral-B USA 500 in Atlanta, watch a squirrel playing a dangerous game of chicken with a Chevy driven by Kevin Harvick. Harvick misidentifies the creature as a cat, but we won't blame him ... he was going quite fast at the time.
The squirrel was later spotted observing the race from a safer vantage point on the grass beside the track. We're glad this little guy made it to safety (a few years ago, a fellow road racer was not quite as fortunate).
