After watching this video from YouTube user Eligio, I suddenly feel an urgent need to possess a flat aquarium (attention readers: my birthday is in March!). Using a DIY macro lens, Eligio photographed snail embryos through the wall of his ultra-thin tank every eight hours as they morphed through the early stages of life! It took just nine days for the snails to fully develop – and the resulting timelapse is absolutely beautiful!
