In a display of aerial combat harrowing enough to make the Red Baron himself proud, two eagles in Austria recently took on a drone and won. (Protip: This video isn't for the motion-sick crowd. We also suggest watching on mute.)
When YouTuber Harry08 took his Phantom 3 quadcopter out for a spin, he planned to shoot aerial footage of the Austrian mountains. But the eagles apparently didn’t like the idea of sharing the beautiful skies.
"This was not at all planned," he says.
This is not the first time we've seen such an encounter. Late last year, drone pilot Christopher Schmidt had a similar run-in with a hawk in Massachusetts.
