Would you grab a deadly black mamba hiding out under a bed? How about facing up to a venom-spitting cobra? It may seem terrifying to the reptile-disinclined, but for Simon and Nadine Keys, snake-catching is a way of life. This husband and wife team are the stars of our newest TV series, Snakes in the City, which recently aired in the UK and is currently showing on South African screens.

The fast-paced series follows Simon and Nadine as they respond to callouts in and around Durban, South Africa, leading them everywhere from rubbish dumps to underground tunnels in search of unwanted reptilian visitors. Their job is to collect and protect. Snakes are an integral part of the ecosystem and the duo's mission is to educate city residents to respect and understand this persecuted predator, and change its negative image as a ruthless killer.

Need another reason to watch? The soundtrack. It's composed by top British hip hop/electronica outfit the Stereo MCs (if the name doesn't ring a bell, this track probably will). And the Stereo MCs have released some of their specially composed tracks for your listening pleasure.

Here's a medley of tracks from the three-part series (for more Snakes in the City songs, check out the Stereo MCs SoundCloud profile).

South African audiences don't miss the final episode of our series tomorrow evening - Saturday, March 14, NatGeo (DStv channel 181), 8pm.

If you're in the UK, check out repeats today and tomorrow on Nat Geo Wild (Sky channel 544). Here's the schedule…
