We're not sure who we're rooting for in this hilarious badger-chases-fox, fox-chases-badger video. But one thing's for sure: we're ready for the animated feature film it's going to inspire.
The video was originally shared on the Surrey Residents Network Facebook page back in April (and we have to tip our hats to the person who set it to Benny Hill's "Yakety Sax").
The clip comes our way from the English town of Camberley, where local resident Paul Wilson has been filming the wildlife visiting his back garden at night. Thanks to an infrared camera, he's been observing badgers in his garden for nearly two years, but he wasn't expecting a fox to join in.
"I set up the camera once or twice a week and, most of the time, the badgers tend to snuffle around for a while and then take off again," Wilson told Get Surrey. "There's not much action, but it's nice to know they are there. I was really surprised when I saw Friday night's episode. It was hilarious.”
It's hard to tell if the badger was playing or just trying to get the fox to leave his stomping ground, but it appears some sort of food was involved in the squabble.
"I'm no wildlife expert, but I'm guessing badgers and foxes don't get on too well," added Wilson. "Foxes are quite skittish, whereas badgers tend to be quite bold. The badger in the film is a young one, so maybe he was treating it like a game but the fox didn't realise that."
Whatever the cause of the chase, it was definitely entertaining – and a neat look at the secret night-time shenanigans of the local wildlife.
