What could be cuter than an African wild dog making friends with a few young hyenas? If the scenario sounds a little unusual, that's because it is! Anyone who’s spent a bit of time in the African bush knows that wild dogs and hyenas are far more likely to be viciously competing for kills than engaging in a bit of fun and games. But sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. On a recent game drive, a ranger at the Londolozi Game Reserve in South Africa was confronted by this strange sight: a lone wild dog being playfully chased by three young hyena pups (with the hyena mom watching quite happily from the sidelines)!
