If a wild boar is going to tromp its way across your potato field, having a horde of tiny and adorable piglets following close behind helps soften the blow. Cute as this is, wild boars are causing quite a problem in Poland. A series of mild winters and the increasing number of corn farms (corn is a favourite boar snack) have seen their numbers soar – populations have jumped by over 150 percent in recent years. Experts note the swines' success may also be attributed to the growing number of people, who have a knack for leaving food around for the animals to gorge on.
