Design meets nature in this charming typographic project by illustrator and designer Marcus Reed, who's taken the animal kingdom as his source of inspiration. As a graphic designer and illustrator who finds inspiration everywhere around me, I'm often seeing shapes and patterns in everyday objects and nature – which is why I was immediately drawn to Reed's work.

In his innovative recreation of the common alphabet, Reed assigns an animal to a letter and uses the form of each to create beautifully illustrated type forms. Meticulously crafted, each animal character is infused with personality. Whether it's a leaping tiger, hanging unau (that's a two-toed sloth, in case you were wondering) or an owl in flight, each letter is a piece of simple, stylish design that catches the eye.
