Niki Wilson is a biologist-turned-science writer based in the Canadian Rockies. She lives with her husband, a biologist and conservation officer with Parks Canada. Their nine-year-old son has grown up watching his Dad chase bull elk across the lawn, while his mother teeters on the front step with a camera trying to document the hazings. They once dissected an elk liver as a family, which taught them about both liver fluke ecology, and gag reflexes. Say hello at nikiwilson.com. view other contributors
